Send email using your custom domain (Gmail SMTP)

Overview
Configure Gmail SMTP in Keysender so delivery emails are sent from your own email address.
Before you start
Make sure you have:
- Access to your Keysender vendor account.
- A Gmail account with 2-Step Verification enabled.
Steps
Generate a Gmail app password
- Open your Google Account settings at myaccount.google.com.
- Go to Security then 2-Step Verification, and complete setup if it is not already enabled.
- Go to Security then App passwords.
- Select Mail and Other, then name it, for example "Keysender SMTP".
- Click Generate and copy the 16-character app password.
Configure SMTP in Keysender
- Open Account then Settings then SMTP in Keysender.
- Enter your Sender Name, which is your business name.
- Enter your Sender Email, which is your Gmail address.
- Set the Host to
smtp.gmail.com. - Set the Port to
587for TLS or465for SSL. - Set Encryption to TLS or SSL to match the port you selected.
- Enter your Gmail address as the Username.
- Enter the app password as the Password.
- Turn on Activate SMTP.
- Click Send Test Email.
Confirm it works
The test email arrives from your sender name and email address. Delivery emails sent by Keysender now use your custom domain.
If it still is not working
Check that the app password is correct and that 2-Step Verification is enabled on your Gmail account. Error messages appear in the top right corner of Keysender. If the issue persists, submit a claim so Keysender Support can review it.
